Services
Extensions, loft conversions, kitchens and whole-house renovations, across Crowborough, Uckfield, Tunbridge Wells and the East Sussex and Kent borders.
Extensions
Single and double storey extensions
Most of the extensions we build are at the back of the house, where a kitchen and dining room can open out to the garden. Some go out to the side, into a side return, or wrap around a corner; a double-storey extension adds a bedroom above at the same time.
We build the whole thing: foundations and drainage, the structure and the roof, the glazing, heating and electrics, and the finishes inside.
- Rear, side-return and wrap-around extensions
- Single storey, or two storeys with a room above
- Built to match the house, or to stand apart from it
Loft conversions
A bedroom and bathroom in the roof
A loft conversion is often the most room you can add without losing any garden. Whether it can be done, and which kind suits the house, depends on the head height, the roof structure and where a staircase can go.
That is what the loft conversion survey is for: two hours in the loft and on the floor below, before anyone draws anything.
- Roof-light, dormer and hip-to-gable conversions
- New stairs, floor, insulation and fire protection
- En-suite bathrooms and storage in the eaves
Kitchens
Kitchen extensions and fit-outs
A new kitchen usually means more than new units: walls come down, a steel goes in, the plumbing and wiring move, and the floor is relaid. We do all of it, and then fit the kitchen, so there is one firm answerable for the whole room.
You can buy the kitchen yourself or choose it with us. Either way we plan the building work around it.
- Knocking through and structural openings
- Plumbing, electrics, lighting and underfloor heating
- Fitting, worktops, tiling and decoration
Renovations
Whole-house renovations
Some houses need everything doing at once: the wiring, the plumbing, the plaster and the joinery. Doing it as one job, in the right order, costs less and takes less time than doing it room by room over years.
Many houses round here are old, and we take care with what is worth keeping: fireplaces, floorboards, doors and mouldings.
- Rewiring and replumbing
- Plastering, joinery and decoration
- Period features repaired and kept
