Who we are

This website is run by Ashdown Build & Renovation of Crowborough, East Sussex. If you have any question about this policy or about your details, email us at office@ashdownbuild.example.com. Our current contact details are always on the contact page.

What we collect and why

Messages. When you send us a message through the contact form, we collect your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and your message. The message is stored on this website and emailed to us, so that we can reply to you. We keep it until we delete it.

Bookings. When you book a call online, we collect your name, email address, phone number, any notes you add and the date and time you chose. We use them to arrange and confirm the call and to contact you about it. We keep them until we delete them.

Who looks after it for us

This website is hosted for us in the United Kingdom by British Web Design Ltd. They process the details above on our behalf, under our instructions, and deliver the website's email. They do not use your details for anything of their own.

Cookies

The website sets a session cookie and a security cookie that every visitor needs: they keep forms working and protect them from misuse. Our own visitor counts are made without cookies.

If we switch on Google Analytics or advertising tags, a banner will ask you first, and nothing of theirs is set until you accept. Your answer is remembered in your browser, and you can change it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR) you can ask us for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them or delete them, and object to how we use them. Email us and we will reply within a month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may change this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
