About us
Tom Ashdown and a team of eight, building from Crowborough across the Weald.
Who we are
Ashdown Build & Renovation is a team of eight, run by Tom Ashdown from Crowborough. We build extensions, convert lofts, put in kitchens and renovate whole houses for homeowners across Crowborough, Uckfield, Tunbridge Wells and the villages on the East Sussex and Kent borders.
Our work is mostly bigger jobs, the kind where you live with us for a few months. That is why we put so much into the first visit, into a quote you can read line by line, and into keeping you told what is happening each week.
The fairest way to judge a builder is by the work they have finished, so have a look at the gallery before you ring.

Where we work
Crowborough and the Weald
We work within easy reach of Crowborough: Uckfield, Tunbridge Wells and the towns and villages on both sides of the East Sussex and Kent border.
Plenty of the houses here are old, timber-framed, tile-hung or weatherboarded, and an extension on one of them has to sit well beside what is already there. We take care that it does.
On site
Working in your home
We never forget that the site is your house. Dust sheets go down, the work is closed off from the rooms you are living in, and everything is tidied at the end of the day.
Before we start you will know who is running the job, what is happening each week, and who to ring if you have a question.
